Key Responsibilities of the Operations Director.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency, growth, and profitability across both e-commerce and retail operations.
  • Oversee the production of confectionery and patisseries, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to high standards.
  • Manage and optimize online sales platform, including order fulfilment, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Supervise retail store operations, including staffing, inventory control, and in-store customer experience and building an operational team.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of production staff, warehouse workers, and retail
  • Oversee inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and streamline supply chain processes.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and analyse financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and maintain rigorous quality control standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.

Must haves

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the confectionery, bakery, or food industry, with a focus on e-commerce and retail operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
