Moving into 2024, they are committed to continue supporting some of the UK’s most prominent consultancy projects. They are now looking for passionate and motivated professionals to join them in delivering a diverse and rewarding project portfolio.
About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in the development and execution of team-wide strategies and resource planning.
- Service Development: Lead the growth and delivery of ecological services in London and the South East, collaborating with senior team members for support.
- Leadership: Work closely with the Ecology Leadership Team to inspire, motivate, and guide a team of dedicated ecologists and ornithologists.
- Best Practices Implementation: Develop and implement operational and scientific best practices for ecological surveys, assessments, and team management.
- Project Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of ecological consultancy projects, ensuring effective resourcing, timely delivery, and financial performance.
- External Representation: Act as an ambassador for the company at industry events and best practice forums.

About You
The successful candidate will complement the existing ecology team, and will share their commitment to high quality science to help grow and develop the business.
Essential:
- Degree-level education or equivalent skills and knowledge.
- Significant leadership experience in ecological consultancy in the UK.
- Proven track record in managing complex ecological consultancy projects.
- Strong business development and work-winning skills.
- Deep understanding of UK ecological survey and assessment methods, legislation, and the development planning process.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of English nature conservation legislation and policy.
- Understanding of the English development management process.
