As they looking to expand the capabilities of the design team, we are looking for a talented Senior Packaging Designer.


Job Overview:

The Senior Packaging Designer will play a critical role in developing innovative packaging solutions that reflect the brand’s values and enhance the customer experience. This individual will lead the packaging design process from concept to execution, ensuring that all packaging is not only visually appealing but also functional and sustainable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of packaging for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive and effective packaging solutions.
  • Create detailed packaging specifications and dielines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to production standards.
  • Oversee the prototyping and sampling process, working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to continually innovate and improve packaging designs.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of design quality.
  • Ensure all packaging designs align with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design decisions and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, effectively communicating the vision and rationale behind design choices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design, preferably within FMCG.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative packaging designs.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex design challenges.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a passion for design.
