Finatal is currently working with a tech-focussed European Venture Capital Fund that focus on early-stage technology B2B SaaS/Consumer Tech businesses and have a focus on AI. They are now looking for a Head of Data that will focus both on building out the internal data platform as well as using advanced analytics/AI to source new deals. You will be joining a VC Fund at the peak of their growth, leading the current small team, and driving a data culture.


Role:

  • As the Head of Data, you will develop and lead the data strategy to develop analytics/AI-driven investment decisions (looking at new deals).
  • Manage and upskill the team, leading best practices across automation data quality and BI.
  • Optimising business intelligence solutions and analysis to monitor the Fund's success and activities
  • Working with key technical and non-technical stakeholders translating key data insights and recommendations to all levels as well as presenting data strategy initiatives to support business objectives.
  • Develop, improve, and prototype proprietary software solutions, tools, processes, and microservices.


Requirements:

  • Strong track record in a leading Data Analytics or Science role leading teams and translating complex data into actionable insights within a VC or PE environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
  • Technical ability across data visualisation tools, SQL BigQuery, DBT, Python and API’s and automation tools.
  • Beneficial to have experience within a start-up or scale-up environment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM subject or similar
