The Opportunity:
As a Lead Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in the efficient operation of our laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality histopathology services. Working closely with the Histology Manager and the wider histology team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of specimens, contributing to the high standards of service our laboratory provides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, booking, and processing specimens
- Performing cut-up, staining, and specimen dispatch
- Ensuring quality control and accuracy in all work output
- Archiving samples in compliance with lab protocols
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
- Following health and safety regulations and safe lab procedures
- Conducting specimen dissection (subject to competency and training)
