Position: Technician (Team leader)
Location: Stockport, UK
Torque Consulting is currently working with a leading manufacturing company based in Stockport, that specialises in manufacturing mechanical and electro-mechanical components for various industries
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Manage, lead, and motivate a team of production workers to achieve production targets and maintain high levels of productivity and morale.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements. Implement best practices and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent production delays and ensure timely deliveries.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, including output, downtime, and quality metrics. Provide regular updates to the Production Manager.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve production issues promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.
