Environmental Manager – Midlands (City Centre Regeneration Schemes)


We are working with a tier one main contractor who have an enviable track record throughout the UK delivering some of the world’s most iconic projects.


We are recruiting for an Environmental Manager to oversee our projects in the Midlands; Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Dudley.


The Environmental Manager will be responsible for taking the lead in creating a culture of best practice environmental performance and excellent standards across multiple projects. The projects are typically city centre regeneration schemes or junction improvements with values of £2m-£10m across the Midlands region.


Duties will include;


  • Initiate and maintain systems to review and monitor compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 and other company/divisional standards.
  • Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process and interpret data (e.g. water, dust, noise, waste)
  • Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management
  • Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing.


Person Specification;


  • Significant experience with either a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor or a specialist environmental contractor.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works and impacts on 3rd Parties.
  • Member of IEMA and working towards chartered status.
