Project Manager – Software Delivery
Are you a seasoned and disciplined Project Manager with a passion for driving impactful projects and delivering strategic business outcomes? We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team as a Project Manager.
As the Project Manager you’ll work across all areas of the business, supporting the delivery of strategic projects through effective leadership, planning, and communication. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior sponsors, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery within budget, scope, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager:
- Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and development teams to define project parameters and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, setting deadlines, defining communication strategies, and tracking progress against milestones.
- Ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and governance procedures, including change control processes.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams through the delivery lifecycle, from kick-off to effective handover into BAU.
- Act as the primary liaison for project updates, providing timely communications, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders.
- Oversee project delivery aspects, including:
- Project plans and technical solutions
- Matrix management of resources
- Budget controls and reporting
- Third-party integrations
- Risk mitigation and issue resolution
- Facilitate project definition workshops and strategic planning sessions with key teams, including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.
- Continuously improve project outcomes, measuring success and driving decision-making through effective documentation and reporting.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a software-based environment.
- Proven expertise in delivering projects within a stage-gate process, with a focus on fast-paced business environments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, as well as traditional Waterfall planning.
- Demonstrated success in managing ‘Go To Market’ and ‘New Product Introduction’ projects.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and compromise on scope and timelines.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and delivering under pressure.
- Experience managing multiple parallel projects with global teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and resource optimization.
- Proficiency in risk management, issue resolution, and ensuring effective change management practices.
