The Role


For the Incubator group level, you will report into the Finance Director within this new and growing Finance function This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in planning and analysis of activities across all Incubator entities.

Core responsibilities include business partnering and performance analysis, maintaining the dashboard with key KPIs, supporting the annual planning process and monthly management reporting. This is a high-profile role which will interact with senior management teams within the head office and with colleagues in the subsidiary finance teams.

It is an ideal role for an ambitious, recently qualified accountant looking to build on their previous experience in a relevant role.


Key Responsibilities:


General Duties:


Partner with stakeholders across the head office to understand budget variances and trends Support stakeholders in their understanding of finance priorities to ensure risks and opportunities in the delivery of their budget are well managed


Assistant with Monthly Management reporting including attending financial review meetings and the preparation of the management packs including associated commentary


Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes


Support the maintenance of systems and the collection and review of reporting from the subsidiary finance teams


Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required


Management accounting:


  1. Uses development and performance management across the wider business and technological environment, as part of the strategic planning and implementation.
  2. Directs performance in the company through selecting and measuring financial and non-financial performance indicators.


Stakeholder relationship management:


  1. Develops positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Communicates and gains commitment from internal and external stakeholders.


Strategy and innovation:


  1. Use business and commercial acumen awareness to deliver business objectives.
  2. Can suggest appropriate strategic options where sustainable plans and objectives can be developed.


Requirements:


  • Qualifications: Strong academics, Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)


Experience: Working within the FP&A function / Business Analyst or Management Accountant, exceptional analytical skills and strong commercial acumen, track record of delivery against tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment,


  • Skills: Advance in Excel, Macros, Power BI
