About the Role


Are you ready to lead in a dynamic environment, managing complex recoveries and distressed assets? We are seeking an accomplished Director of Recoveries to take charge of higher-risk exposures within a high-impact Real Estate Finance team. This pivotal role involves developing a strong governance framework, managing stakeholder relationships, and strategically mitigating potential losses on key cases.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop & Implement Governance: Create a structured framework for managing non-performing exposures, setting the foundation for effective risk management.
  • Lead Debt Recovery: Oversee the debt recovery process, collaborating with stakeholders including clients, guarantors, and industry professionals.
  • Hands-On Case Management: Directly manage high-risk cases, aiming to restore clients to performing status.
  • Compliance & Advisory: Stay on top of regulatory changes and provide guidance on recovery strategies.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Industry Expertise: Proven credit underwriting experience in UK Real Estate Finance.
  • Distressed Asset Management: Solid background in recoveries or non-performing asset management.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic Mindset: Capability to advise on mitigating losses and managing distressed assets effectively.
