Finance Accounts & Office Assistant


What you’ll be doing

Being a part of our growing Finance team, you’ll be responsible for owning the purchase and sales ledger invoice process from end to end (including but not limited to Supplier and Contractor Payment Runs, raising invoices, chasing debt, allocating payments and producing remittances).


You’ll have the opportunity to improve controls and processes across the business and drive efficiencies within the team. We’re looking for someone who is keen to embrace and push for the latest tech and automate tasks and functions within the role.


You will also be responsible for supporting the day to day running of Answer, including asset management, arranging travel bookings for Answer staff and liaising with external contractors as required.


What you’ll bring to Answer

  • Experience working in a fast-paced finance function, responsible for aged debtors and creditors reporting and engaging with clients.
  • Experience with daily/monthly banking & reconciliation, monthly rechargeable expenses and petty cash reconciliation
  • Confident with accounting software particularly Sage Line 50 and Xero
  • Fixed asset ledger management
  • Ability to be adaptable. Working independently when required whilst also being a key contributing team member
  • A can do attitude and a desire to get involved in the needs of the wider business


It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we’ll help you with them:

  • Basic understanding of Debits & Credits and comfortable in posting journals
  • Strong skills in Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions
  • Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and honesty
  • Meticulous attention to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports
