The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale, high-impact Building Management Systems projects. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in construction project management and demonstrate proven expertise in managing complex projects to contractual and quality specifications. This role is ideal for someone skilled in coordinating resources, managing project budgets, and working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to project handover, ensuring adherence to all contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
- Contract Management: Interpret and manage project contracts, ensuring compliance with client agreements and documented scope. Handle contract amendments and changes with clear communication.
- Budget Control: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities to maintain profitability.
- Timeline Management: Coordinate project scheduling, ensuring tasks meet key milestones and proactively addressing any risks or delays.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, fostering clear communication, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient resource allocation and clear understanding of project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality standards through regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all on-site activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, budget, and potential risks or opportunities to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction project management, particularly with large-scale projects. Experience with BMS or M&E systems is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of contract management and compliance.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and budgeting tools.
- Familiarity with BMS or HVAC systems and their integration into construction projects is a plus.
- Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong budget management and financial forecasting abilities.
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Combination of office-based work and on-site project visits.
- Travel: Regular travel to project sites as required.
