Talent Junction are partnering with a leading business in Southampton who are looking to appoint a Human Resources Assistant to join their growing team.

About the Role

As a full-time Human Resources Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the HR Director and HR team to deliver an exceptional HR service to the business.

A Key part of the role will be managing the recruitment process, overseeing new starter and leaver procedures, including inductions and preparation of contract paperwork. You will also play a key part in being the first point of contact for an employee's queries.

Working as part of a small team means you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a range of HR-related activities and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Respond to employee HR queries
  • Assist with payroll administration and data entry
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain HR software, records, and employee files ensuring accuracy
  • Organise training sessions and manage the induction process for new staff
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Perform other HR-related duties as needed

About You

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a HR function.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven administrative and IT skills
  • A minimum of two years of HR experience
  • Strong organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • High proficiency in IT systems
