Client Relationship Manager – Carbon Accounting Solutions

Firstly a bit about who we are. We established our carbon accounting company nearly three years ago and now partner with over 300 clients. We are passionate about the environment and deliver solutions to our clients, helping them to quickly and efficiently get on the transition to Net Zero with as little disruption to their business as possible.


We are seeking a motivated, flexible and customer-focused Client Relationship Manager to join us.


As a Client Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with our clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services.


Main responsibilities will be:-

  • Managing an account portfolio of around 100 business clients, developing a good understanding of their needs and objectives
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support, escalating as appropriate
  • Onboarding new customers as required, ensuring they are set up on our various systems and receive first class service
  • Deliver training to new clients and provide ongoing guidance as and when needed
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on projects, deliverables, and Net Zero/sustainability trends
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and analysis to clients
  • Liaising with other third parties/Suppliers where required
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications/Skills/Experience


Education

  • GCSE's/O'Levels (Grades A-C or 6-9) or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics - Essential
  • Business related degree or equivalent - Desirable


Experience

Proven experience of managing relationships with customers, preferably business to business

A passion for and experience/knowledge of Climate Change/Net Zero/Sustainability

Full training will be provided so that you are completely familiar with our carbon accounting system however a knowledge of accounting systems/process would be an advantage.


Benefits

  • Competitive Salary £32K PA (Full Time Equivalent) /£17500 based on working 20 hours per week (average)
  • Performance bonus of up to 10%

  • Four weeks holiday in addition to Bank Holidays (increasing to 5 weeks @ 1 day per year after the first year)
  • Paid volunteering days (up to 2 each year)
  • Flexible working pattern, which could include working less hours in some weeks and more at our peek times (year end accounting), school holidays off, working hours to fit around caring responsibilities (we are open to discussion)

The role is initially working at home, however there is an intention in the future to establish an office base within the Hertfordshire area near to Hemel Hempstead, with an expectation thereafter of hybrid working.
