Waste Manager


Job Type: Contract

Start date: ASAP – Subject to clearance

Duration: 12 months

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Depending on experience

Location: Seascale

Hours of work: 40 hours per week


Applicants must have experience of the following:


  • Nuclear waste and conventional waste management experience
  • Scientific or Engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Experience with waste management plans, characterisation reporting, and the full project lifecycle


Ideally, applicants will also have / be:


  • IT literate
  • SMSTS qualified
  • CSCS card


Role information:


  • Develop and implement waste management documentation including project waste management plans and waste characterisation reports
  • Assist in the delivery of projects to meet targets and ensure works are completed to budget and programme requirements
  • Liaise with clients and workers to help resolve complex problems
  • Oversee waste management support throughout the project life cycle
  • Ensure waste is disposed of in manners that are compliant with processes and procedures
