Who are we?
Daily Dose is the largest cold pressed juice manufacturer in the UK. We produce all our drinks in-house at our Corby factory, after beginning life in our founder's mum's kitchen At Daily Dose, we produce the finest cold pressed juice made from wonky fruit and veg which would otherwise be thrown away. We focus on sustainability; working with local farmers, turning our organic waste into Biofuels, and only using bottles made from recycled materials.
What’s the opportunity?
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all daily operational activities are conducted safely and adhere to the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with management and operational teams to address health and safety challenges, identify effective solutions, minimise risks, champion continuous improvements, and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations.
What will the job involve?
- Monitor and assess health and safety standards across the site, ensuring all practices align with legal requirements and company policies.
- Responsible for implementing PUWER, CoSHH, and Fire regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments COSHH, DSE, manual handling assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and operational teams to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety best practices, including the use machinery, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring thorough reporting and analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Work closely with the Ops team to address health and safety concerns and implement joint safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety checks, incidents, and training activities in compliance with legal requirements.
- Champion a culture of safety across the organisation, promoting awareness and engagement in health and safety initiatives.
What skills, experience and traits do I need?
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the manufacturing or food production industry.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, risk management, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software for reporting and documentation.
