We are currently seeking an interim Training & Documentation Facilitator, to work with our global FMCG client, Unilever, renowned for brands such as Pot Noodle, Knorr, Walls & Marmite, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.


The position is based at the manufacturing facility in Crumlin, Newport, South Wales, the home of Pot Noodle.


This is a full-time temporary role for 9 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £30,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.


SUMMARY

This role is responsible for supporting the Readiness team during the implementation and commissioning of the new production line at Crumlin, reporting to the Readiness lead, the prime objective of the team is to transfer from project implementation to smooth landing and ramp up ensuring all operators and Engineers have the documentation and training required to run the new line efficiently.


KEY TASKS

Developing documentation – The new line will be introduced as a paperless system, therefore all current paper documentation needs to be located, approved by the stakeholders and uploaded into the central file system.


Writing SOP’s – Lifting information from the manuals to develop documents and then during the Commissioning, the OEM will train our teams on site, during this time standard operating procedures need to be developed further and proven to ensure operators understand the process and are able to work safely and to the expected quality.


Training out SOP’s – Leading the training of documentation to operators and engineers on all shifts, flexibility to move to other shift patterns temporarily to train members of the team. Participation in training sessions.


Skills matrix and signoff – Ensuring all training is captured by signatures on training documents and matrices updated.


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a training role, writing training and some experience of either delivering or participating in training.
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Willing to learn other software such as Limble (engineering documentation software).
  • Strong Communication skills, able to explain theory and demonstrate practical processes.
  • Driven person with an attention to detail and proven track record within documentation and training field.

  • Situated in the village of Crumlin, located 20 miles north of Cardiff, 14 miles north of Newport and 6 miles west of Pontypool.
