Key Responsibilities
Due to the continuing success and growth of our UK team, AESG are seeking a Chartered Fire Engineer to support the growing Fire Life Safety and External Wall Advisory divisions and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will be to support the successful delivery of UK and international projects, working with project team Engineers and Senior Consultants throughout all project phases, whilst also including independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of Fire Engineering
This role requires you to be a Chartered Fire Engineer and will be able to provide support/conduct PAS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 to our clients in addition to traditional FLS design and engineering services.
AESG has developed an industry-leading software assessment tool using the PAS risk assessment methodology and our market reach is growing. We seek a motivated leader to guide the development of this tool into a probabilistic risk assessment platform with a wider aim to support industry standardisation.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Chartered Fire Engineer seeking a leadership role within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.
The Role Will Include:
- Assist with leading the team and working closely with clients to ensure an exemplary level of quality
- Continuing the growth and development of our Fire & Life Safety and External Wall Advisory offering to the UK and international markets
- Working with our multidiscipline team to ensure coordinated outputs
- Execution of Strategy, Business Development and Commercial Management

Essential Skills:
- Chartered Fire Engineer
- AS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 experience
- Excellent technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors. Public Sector experience would also be a big advantage.
- A thorough understanding of Fire Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process
- A good appreciation of the importance of complementary specialisms such computer modelling (CFD), Structural Engineering, Façade Engineering and Building Services in the design of buildings
- Ability to deliver & control project delivery, within time and budget
- UK experience with international experience preferred
