Team/Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Data Services organization as the Head of Data Quality & Controls.

Data Services is a foundational part of the Data, Digital and Innovation product organisation within Securities Services. DDI clients are Securities Services lines of business including Custody, Funds, Execution, and Issuer services and also, the business aligned technology and operations teams. Finally, DDI delivers core services for business clients (institutional).

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in realizing our vision to be the best-in-industry data management function within the context of Securities Services. As the leader of Data Quality and Controls, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust data quality standards, implementing monitoring, and reporting mechanisms, and overseeing the resolution processes for data quality issues across various business lines. This role will report into the Global Head of Data Services for Securities Services and will be a key part of the Data Services Leadership Team.

What you'll do:

Establish Data Quality Standards :
  • Define and implement comprehensive data quality standards in alignment with industry best practices and the Group Data Management Policy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that data quality standards meet business and regulatory requirements.
Implement Data Quality Monitoring and Reporting :
  • Develop and implement effective data quality monitoring and reporting mechanisms to proactively identify and address data quality issues.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on data quality across the organization.
  • Oversee a Data Quality governance capability to ensure Data Quality remediation is addressed at source and continuously improved with oversight of related initiatives.
Oversee Data Quality Issue Management :
  • Manage the end-to-end data quality issue lifecycle, including identification, escalation, resolution, and reporting.
  • Work closely with business lines, technology teams, and operations teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of data quality issues.
Product Management of Data Quality Tools :
  • Act as the product manager for a suite of Data Quality tools, including Data Quality rules execution capability and Data Quality workflow.
  • Drive the evolution and enhancement of Data Quality tools, aligning them with emerging industry trends and the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the integration of Data Quality tools with central ISG and Group data management tools.
Transformation Accountability :
  • Lead and drive transformation initiatives related to data quality, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of processes.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance data quality capabilities, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
  • Build strong partnerships with technology teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders in each business line.
  • Collaborate with the broader Data Services organization to ensure consistent adherence to data quality standards across the product suite.
