Role: Interim Management Accountant

Job type: Interim – 6 months

Salary: £225 - £325 per day

Location: Birmingham – Hybrid


Sellick Partnership are currently looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join one of our Public Sector clients based in Birmingham.


Main responsibilities for the Interim Management Accountant:


  • To prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and carry out detailed analysis
  • Liaise and collaborate with budget holders
  • To assist with the preparation of the budget and forecasts and be responsible for challenging budget holders
  • To investigate and understand significant variances
  • To prepare and post accruals/prepayments journals
  • To contribute to the annual accounts and liaise with auditors


Person Specification for the Interim Management Accountant


  • Public Sector experience
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff
  • The ability to analyse and convert complex data into high quality information
  • Experienced in doing hands on Management Accounts
