The London Medical Associates West London GP Federation

(LMA) supports primary care in West London, delivering a range of services on

behalf of the practices in the Royal Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and

Westminster. The core purpose of LMA is to develop successful Primary Care

Networks (PCNs) and ensure primary care services meet the needs of local

residents.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Primacy Care Workforce Transformation Lead at London Medical Associates West London GP Federation located in Greater London. The role involves working with the Board, Clinical Directors of PCNs, and local partners to support and develop the Additional Reimbursement Role Scheme across 39 practices. We are an exciting and ambitious GP Federation working collaboratively with our primary care workforce to develop exciting primary care solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents.


We are looking for an experienced NHS Manager with strong interpersonal and networking skills. Someone who enjoys working with multiple senior clinical and managerial colleagues and has experience of negotiating and reaching complex compromises.


The Primary Care Workforce Development Manager will be responsible for developing the Senior ARRS lead roles and the services. We are keen to demonstrate the immense value of our staff in these roles both to patient care and to the practice. You will lead a team of Senior ARRS leads to deliver consistent, high quality and effective services to our PCNs. This will include liaising with PCNs, Practices, and other Federation management leads to develop clear strategic direction of these roles and support the staff to deliver improvements. The post holder will also have responsibility for contributing and reporting to the Transformation and Integration committee and working with PCN management teams to ensure ARRS staff are supporting PCN Development.

In undertaking the role, the individual will be able to operate with a degree of autonomy and therefore will need to demonstrate the ability to make appropriate on-the-spot decisions decisively and to communicate these decisions well to staff.

The role is located in the West London area, at the St Charles, Chelsea Manor Street/Violet Melchett Hub in North and the South of Kensington respectively. and the post holder will be required to attend the offices at least 3 days a

week.



Qualifications

  • Interpersonal Skills, Communication, and Customer Service skills
  • Experience in Critical Care Medicine
  • Knowledge of primary care and healthcare systems
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Understanding of NHS and social care and the strategic direction
  • Specialist knowledge on national evidence on best practice, evidence-based models of care, clinical standards and guidelines that need to inform service design
  • A sound knowledge of and experience of programme and project management skills in the development of new services
  • Experience of developing large scale business plans / cases and working with Directors on their delivery
  • Proven ability to work in a challenging performance management environment, delivering on targets within agreed timescales
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software packages.
