European Finance Manager
£75,000/yr - £85,000/yr (depending on experience)
A leading real estate developer and asset manager is looking to hire an experienced European Finance Manager to join their growing team. The business currently manages in excess of €1 billion of investment properties and is expanding rapidly across established European regions.
The European Finance Manager will report and support the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller. The role will predominantly look after the financial management and reporting function of the European side of the business, overseeing outsourced and internal accountants, advisors and administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up finance function in new countries, roll-out of Group finance system and supporting tax planning / transfer documentation
- Work closely and collaboratively with joint venture partners, investors, solicitors and banks in connection to acquisitions, sales and tenancy agreements.
- Maintain a strong and well-managed relationship with JV partners and investors
- Oversee preparation of audited financial statements for the European entities (OpCo, PropCo & SPV)
- Manage cash flows to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
- Manage online banking platform
- Support the European Analyst with budgets and forecasts
- Support the Group Financial Controller and CFO with ad-hoc projects, both UK and European based
Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong technical understanding of Real Estate accounting and fund structures including within the European market
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail
- Must have a can-do attitude, be a critical thinker and be able to work well under pressure
