Your new role
Your new role as a Manufacturing Engineer for Assembly Operations will involve developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and safety compliance. You will work closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality control to optimise assembly line processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing assembly line layouts, conducting time and motion studies, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, you will specify and procure tools and equipment, oversee installations, and collaborate with quality control to address any issues.
What you'll need to succeed
What you’ll need to succeed is a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in assembly operations. You should have a strong background in process design and improvement, production support, equipment and tooling, quality assurance, project management, and training and development. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this role.
