Role description:

In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.

You will play a crucial part in strategic bids, sales activities, and key account management, contributing technical content and insights tailored to meet specific client needs. Collaboration with Business Directors is essential for managing attrition, utilization, succession planning, and talent management.

Additionally, you will actively engage in thought leadership both externally and internally, staying updated on technical and legislative developments and driving continuous improvement. The role involves identifying trends, market issues, and opportunities, contributing to a multi-year capability development strategy. Lastly, coaching and mentoring junior engineers, as well as developing specific technical capabilities, such as the EMC 7 traction power modeling, are integral components of this role.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of the E&P technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in relationship building and client management.
  • Proven experience in engineering performance management and can demonstrate leadership of high performing technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical assurance.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and involvement in winning bids.
  • Demonstrable capability in coaching, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
  • Higher education qualification is preferable (e.g. MBA, MSc, PhD).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a plus.
