My client is currently looking to hire an AV and IT Support Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract. As an AV and IT Support Officer, you will deliver prompt, customer-focused 2nd line support for IT and AV equipment. This includes support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, networking equipment, audio-visual gear, and video conferencing tools.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Audio Visual fundamentals
  • Signal processing, switching and distribution
  • Fundamentals of cabling conventions, standards and their applications
  • Crestron programming
  • Lecture capture equipment and software such as Echo 360
  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing, IP H323 coded and ISDN H320 codec
  • Managed Desktop Services using Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Appsense and Ivanti
  • Experience of supporting large scale conferences and high profile events
  • Experience of network cabling, switches, patching and Wireless networking


Skills required:

  • Understanding of audio-visual fundamentals, signal processing, and cabling standards.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing and IT hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Appsense, and Ivanti.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows 10 and OSX.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of network switches, patching, and wireless networks.
  • Experience with lecture capture technologies (e.g., Echo 360), Crestron, Extron products, ITIL, and liaising with third-party providers is highly desirable
  • Methodical work approach, prioritising and managing tasks effectively.
