Our reputation is built on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, meeting and exceeding client expectations. We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our dynamic team and drive our projects to success.
Job Summary:
The Project Director will oversee the management and execution of CAT A and CAT B fit out projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead a team of project managers, coordinators, and support staff, and will be responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of site team, coordinators, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement project management best practices and standards.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of CAT A and CAT B fit out projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular client meetings to provide project updates and gather feedback.
Financial Management:
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on financial performance.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring profitability.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the senior management team.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure compliance and quality control.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the fit out industry, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing CAT A and CAT B fit out projects up to £10 million.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets in excess of £10 million.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
