We are working exclusively with a global publishing company who are seeking a Building Manager to join their Facilities Management team. This role will be responsible for managing their HQ in Central London and will have line management responsibility.


Reporting into the Senior Facilities Manager, the Building Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of post room staff to provide all post services to the building, ensuring all post and courier services are reviewed on cost and service levels.
  • Managing the reception team, providing warm, welcoming and efficient guest services.
  • Ensure the post room and reception services are operating efficiently.
  • Management of the Facilities Assistant.
  • Manage the Facilities Mailbox and provide effective and efficient responses to the helpdesk requests.
  • Support the Senior Facilities Manager with ensuring the building meets H&S requirements, including risk assessment, permits, procedures and training.
  • Act as incident Control Manager for the building, supported by the Incident Management Team.
  • Oversee facilities service providers (e.g. cleaning, landscaping, pest control, couriers and postal services), ensuring they meet SLAs and budget.
  • Maintaining records and compliance using Meridian.
  • Undertake performance reviews and development of the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the business and sub-tenants.
  • Manage energy platform and ensure energy optimisation across the building.


Building Manager requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar Building/Facilities Management role.
  • IWFM, IOSH or equivalent qualifications.
  • Project Management and CHURN experience.
  • Experience building HVAC systems.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Financially and commercially aware.

Salary up to £50,000 per annum plus benefits package.


Office based in Central London – full time in the office.
