Calibration Technician

A calibration technician's job is to ensure that measurement devices and equipment are accurate and produce the correct output . They do this by: Testing: Performing tests on equipment to verify its accuracy against established standards Adjusting: Making adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure it meets the required standards Repairing: Repairing equipment if necessary Maintaining records: Keeping records of all tests and calibrations performed Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting equipment when results don't meet expectations Compiling reports: Compiling reports for facility management Calibration technicians work in a variety of industries, including engineering, manufacturing, and healthcare. They need to know what accuracy standards each instrument should meet and how to set it properly. Some other responsibilities of a calibration technician may include: Installing new or repaired equipment or parts, Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, Assisting with site projects and initiatives, Writing investigation reports, and Complying with radiation safety procedures.
