We are looking for multiple EHC Coordinators with experience across phase transfer, assessment & review, or tribunal to support a London Local Authority. You should be passionate about making a difference and have a solid understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with SEND and their families.

As a EHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people with SEND, ensuring that their educational, health, and care needs are met effectively. You will work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to develop and review Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, providing expert advice and guidance to families and professionals.
  • Coordinate the assessment, planning, and review process for EHC plans, ensuring that statutory timelines are met.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, health services, social care, and other agencies to ensure that the provision outlined in EHC plans is delivered effectively.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including annual reviews, to ensure that the needs of children and young people are being met.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate reports and documentation to support decision-making processes.
  • Knowledge around SEND Phase Transfers assessment & review, or tribunal.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice, and related statutory guidance.
  • Experience in managing a caseload of children and young people with SEND, ideally within an educational or local authority setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, families, and professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
