The Role

An excellent opportunity is offered at our London office for the position of Operations Support Manager within the Support team. The Operations Support Manager is responsible for establishing strong relationships with Project Leaders and Office Executives, providing proactive support across key operational areas:


Project Leaders

Support Project Leaders in technical project assistance managing project finance, resourcing, and quality compliance, leveraging management information to influence stakeholder actions.


Team Management

Lead a high-performing project administration team, both onshore and offshore, effectively supporting client-facing project leaders through clear delegation of responsibilities.


SHEQ Coordinator

Aid the Group SHEQ Manager in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards


Pursuits

Coordinate with the ‘Pursuits’ Executive to lead, provide support, and actively engage in the proposal writing for key multi-disciplinary bids.


Key Challenges:

  • Navigating complex stakeholder environments to achieve project success.
  • Addressing urgent and confidential issues while managing conflicting demands.
  • Ensuring SHEQ compliance across projects and operations.
  • Understand operational management, project management, revenue forecasting, and client drivers to support stakeholders and guide project leaders in achieving successful project delivery that meets quality requirements and aligns with the office business plan.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications:


  • Experience in operational project support within a professional services business, preferably in construction or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of operational management, project management, revenue forecasting, resourcing planning, client drivers, and key financial mechanisms to influence stakeholders and ensure project quality delivery.
  • Exceptional diplomacy, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant management experience with people leadership responsibility is highly regarded.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in business management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Work Health and Safety management systems and knowledge of quality and environmental systems.
  • Auditing skills (desirable).
