Fire Risk Assessor - Home Based, Hybrid – Wiltshire - South West

Responsibilities:



  • Based from home. Conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to identify potential fire hazards.
  • Evaluate existing fire safety measures and provide recommendations for improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Analyze and interpret relevant fire safety regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risk levels, and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop fire safety strategies for new constructions or refurbishments.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on fire safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct fire safety training sessions for employees and other personnel.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in fire safety.


Requirements:



  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential fire hazards and evaluate safety measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using fire risk assessment software and other relevant tools.
  • At least Tier 2 on the IFSM register.
  • Professional certifications in fire risk assessment or fire safety (e.g., CFPA, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Level 4 Diploma) are highly desirable.
