Engage Talent Partners are working with our award-winning oil and gas client to source and recruit a Tendering and Proposals Engineer in Aberdeen.


The company is a well-established business with a global network of offices and projects within the energy sector. You would be joining the company at an exciting time as they continue to rapidly grow and begin expanding into renewables.


You will be responsible for prepping and managing bespoke budgeting quotes for engineered service, sales and/or rental scopes while always ensuring compliance with the commercial processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receive and coordinate allocated leads from BD personnel for quote preparation and management
  • Use base product template and engineering inputs to draft technical proposals for bespoke sale and rental and service scopes
  • Prepare detailed cost budgets based on new or existing costs stating source, validity and assumption basis
  • Work with Technical team to allow them to define required components to be budgeted
  • Use existing customer rates and required business margins to generate sell pricing for each scope
  • Prepare cashflow models per project based on outgoings projected from budget
  • Propose a milestone payment schedule and cancellation profile model based on the outgoings and predicted scope timetable.
  • Co-ordinate and record risk review for all required proposals and track all actions to close out
  • Pass all terms and conditions for review and negotiation to contract team
  • Ensure approval for any non-standard commercial condition requested or proposed
  • Prepare and track actions on outstanding quotes, opportunities to be quoted and quotes to be followed up
  • Conduct all activities in full compliance with commercial procedures, DOA and all other applicable company processes always.
  • Highlight/escalate any process deviations to the Proposals Lead/Commercial Director for resolution.
  • Work closely with appointed technical reps to confirm they have reviewed and accepted all scope of work documents, technical data and specs.
  • Prepare bid plans covering all required deliverables for formal tenders allocated.
  • Seek and include required QHSE team inputs in submission as required.
  • Support Project Teams post award on any commercial queries and variation orders.


The Ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in fields such as engineering, finance or business or work experience in a similar field. They will be highly numerate and have excellent literacy, and verbal communication skills. It would be an advantage if you had experience with budget preparation and experience with proposals in a fast-paced environment.


The successful candidate can enjoy an excellent salary up to £55,000, excellent development opportunity, private healthcare, and hybrid flexibility.
