Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and playing a pivotal role in strategic planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance within the beverage or consumer goods industry, along with significant experience in fundraising and capital management.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Management:
  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support business growth and profitability.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Lead long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
  1. Fundraising and Investor Relations:
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities, including equity and debt financing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational information to current and potential investors.
  1. Financial Operations and Reporting:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring the company's assets and earnings are protected.
  • Develop risk management strategies and processes, including insurance coverage and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the finance department.
  1. Operational Efficiency:
  • Optimize the company’s financial performance by analyzing operational efficiency and recommending improvements.
  • Oversee the implementation of new financial systems and technology to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, including equity and debt financing is essential
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
