About the job


We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an internationally renowned Creative Agency. This agency is continuously expanding and is now exploring opening a new division focusing on supporting the global operation.


The role


The successful candidate will join the business which has reached a level of maturity that now requires a best-in-class BI function, you will build out the team and have the ability to plan and communicate in a functional and strategic manner.


The organisation is seeking to revolutionise how it utilises data as an organisation, while also ensuring the day-to-day efficient running of its systems.


They already have external analytics teams in place supporting on client accounts, but are now looking to improve internal performance through the creation of a highly innovative BI department.


The role is based in central London on a hybrid basis, with 3 days per week required in the office.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement the overall BI strategy to support the agency’s business goals
  • Recommend and evaluate the tools, platforms, and software needed to execute the strategy effectively
  • Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts and data scientists
  • Drive the adoption of BI tools and best practices across the organisation
  • Oversee the collection, storage, and management of data from various sources including 3rd party data
  • Design and implement robust reporting systems to provide insights into marketing performance
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to understand their BI needs
  • Lead and manage BI projects from inception to completion


Skills & Qualifications You Bring


  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing BI teams and projects
  • Deep knowledge of data management, analytics techniques, and reporting methodologies.
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tools and platforms
  • Experience in offshoring and implementing offshore/hybrid strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data governance frameworks


Non-technical skills:


  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams
  • Strong business acumen and a track record of leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to influence and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability for delivery
  • Experience in a marketing or advertising agency is highly desirable
