Job Description

  • Job Title: Lead Auditor
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday
  • Job Location: Field-based- Northern Ireland
  • Travel: Required as part of the role to visit client sites within Northern Ireland and Scotland. You will be eligible for either a company car or a car allowance.

As a Lead Auditor for SGS you’ll be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet client requirements and appropriate accreditation standards

As part of the role you will conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s site) in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective client relationships.

Other aspects of the role include:

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations
  • Enhance client satisfaction and ensure compliance with standards
  • Undertake personal professional development and ensure appropriate training records and personal logs are updated to maintain relevant auditor registrations and relevant industry knowledge

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Lead Auditor with a Certification background. We'd also like to hear from candidates who;

  • Have held positions with responsibility of Quality, Health & Safety and/or Environmental management systems.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of management system standards, compliance and auditing techniques.
  • Have a varied breadth of industry sector experience
  • Are qualified to Lead Auditor status in at least one management system standard (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc) and to the latest version of the standard.
