This job will be ideal for someone who thrives in achieving goals, creating and maintaining a high level of organisation, a natural multitasker, you will take great pride in delivering the best possible service to clients.
Our business is a small but rapidly developing company, we pride ourselves on offering our clients the very best in service, support and aftercare, we are looking to employ a logistics administrator to take on a new role within the company where you will be focused on the day to day management and organising of the company admin requirements, including assisting with larger logistical project logistics tasks, but let me be clear this is no mundane admin role, as a small company we need a Team player who can adapt and adjust to rapidly changing situations and jump in where required to ensure our clients needs are not just met but exceeded. You will be expected to manage existing systems and develop and implement new and improved methods of keeping the business organised as we grow and expand in the future.
You will have a minimum of 2 years international logistics experience, up to date experience of MS Office and a confident approach to computers and software is a must. knowledge of the ships spares industry or any past experience working in ship management would be an advantage but are not essential as training and support will be provided, your ability to adapt and learn new things will ensure your develop and thrive in the company.
The role will be based at our Aberdeen Office where you will be responsible for but not limited to,
· Maintaining up to date and accurate client and supplier details,
· Maintaining and updating company software that manages the day to day work we undertake,
· Managing a company wide filing system ensuring that documents are correctly listed and filed,
· Arranging supplier evaluations and managing the responses, providing reports and accurate analysis to directors,
· Liaising with international partners to ensure that client’s freight is correctly processed,
· Checking up on live shipments and providing clients updates as required,
· Troubleshooting problems with suppliers and clients,
· Liaising with clients about imports and exports guiding them where needed through the process,
· Arranging supporting documentation for clients’ international shipments,
· Manage inbound supplier invoices ensuring that costs are correctly entered into our software and liaise with accounts to pass payments to suppliers.
