We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and innovative Equipment Lead to join our Adult Social Care Division at the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. You should possess outstanding communication, problem-solving, and reasoning skills, with expertise in analyzing and monitoring performance and invoicing data. The role requires extensive knowledge of community equipment and its application in supporting individuals to maintain purposeful activities and occupational pursuits within the community. Experience in community equipment pathways, proficiency in data systems like TCES and Excel, and the ability to engage with strategic and operational stakeholders are essential. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.
What the Job InvolvesThe Equipment Lead role focuses on supporting a system-wide approach in Health and Social Care, ensuring the appropriate and cost-effective prescription of assistive equipment and minor adaptations. Responsibilities include enabling evidence-based decision-making, fostering joint collaborations with acute hospital colleagues and community health professionals, and driving initiatives that ensure value for money in equipment services. You will manage budgets, resource objectives, and engage in contract management activities. The role involves conducting equipment training, coordinating operational meetings, advising on equipment prescriptions, and maintaining the equipment catalogue up-to-date. You will also lead the TCES administration, monitor contract performance, and work closely with the Adult Social Care Commissioning team, OT leads, and providers. A hybrid working approach is adopted, with attendance at Council offices as needed.
