OVERVIEW

We are seeking an ambitious, engaging and experienced Business Development Manager focused on new business to join Data Clarity. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing effective sales strategies. This is a hands on role and as a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for our SaaS products. Your focus will be solely on onboarding and managing new business pipelines.


JOB DESCRIPTION

At Data Clarity, sales is about understanding data’s place in adding value to global businesses. Building awareness about how our products and services will satisfy the problems of organisations across a range of industries. We are looking for an experienced and versatile Business Development Manager who is hungry to do this and more.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and leading the sales efforts of our innovative data software solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales background, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across UK and global companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, with new business, and work with marketing to achieve market penetration for our SaaS data solutions.

2. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities in the SaaS data landscape.

3. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the data industry, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and operational managers.

4. Product Positioning and Differentiation: Collaborate closely with the product development team to understand the features, capabilities, and competitive advantages of our SaaS solutions and effectively communicate them to prospective clients.

5. Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them achieve their individual and collective sales targets.

6. Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics, track pipeline development, and generate regular reports to senior management on sales forecasts, trends, and key insights.

7. Customer Engagement: Engage proactively with customers to understand their unique needs, pain points, and business challenges, and tailor our SaaS data offerings to address their specific requirements.

8. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contractual agreements with clients, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives while maximizing value for both parties.

9. Industry Networking and Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, establishing our brand as a trusted thought leader and innovator in SaaS solutions.

10. Continuous Learning and Development: Stay informed about developments in data technology, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, and leverage this knowledge to inform our sales strategies and product roadmap.


KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

· Ideally 10+ years experience in enterprise software sales or data related services.

· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the data integration or related industries.

· Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate sales professionals to achieve excellence.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

· Deep understanding of the data industry, including its key players, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.

· Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.

· Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales team activities.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary Range: £70k base salary, OTE: 120k
