Role Overview:

As a UX Designer at Go Thrift, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting customer-centric digital experiences that set new industry standards. Working closely with our e-commerce and engineering teams, you'll lead the design journey from initial research through to the development of top-tier interfaces across our web platforms, mobile apps, and internal tools. Your expertise will be key in delivering intuitive, seamless, and impactful experiences for our users.

In this role, you will design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, playing a vital part in our cross-functional Agile Delivery Team. Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Software Engineers, you’ll help bring our digital experiences to life, ensuring they are as effective as they are engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User-Centred Design: Lead the design of user interfaces across our digital platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives.

  • Research & Insights: Collaborate with the e-commerce and engineering teams to conduct research initiatives, uncovering insights through both qualitative and quantitative data that inform and guide your designs.

  • Design Artefacts: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to clearly and effectively communicate design concepts to developers, product owners, and the wider team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate workshops and work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to generate a variety of design solutions and ensure alignment on design goals.

  • UI Kit Management: Create, update, and implement a consistent UI kit across all digital platforms, ensuring synergy between the brand and the product.

  • Launch Support: Support developers through the launch process, ensuring the design is implemented as intended and meets quality standards.

  • Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products, applying this knowledge to keep our products innovative and competitive.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across various digital platforms.

  • Design Tools: Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar, with the ability to create detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes.

  • Research & Testing: Experience with A/B and multivariate testing, with a solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.

  • Problem-Solving: Naturally curious and tenacious, with a strong ability to solve UX problems creatively and effectively.

  • Collaboration: Team-oriented, open to diverse ideas, and skilled at working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Communication: Clear and passionate in articulating design rationale, with the ability to tell a compelling story through your design work.

  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality work.

Why Join Us?

  • Innovative Environment: Be part of a forward-thinking team that’s pushing the boundaries of digital design in the sustainable fashion industry.

  • Impactful Work: Your designs will directly influence how thousands of customers interact with our platform, helping to make pre-loved fashion accessible and appealing to all.

  • Growth Opportunities: Join a rapidly expanding company where your contributions will be valued and recognised, with significant opportunities for professional growth.

  • Purpose-Driven: Work on products that are making a positive impact on the planet, contributing to a mission that’s reshaping the fashion industry.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Blackburn, North-West England (Hybrid working model with a requirement for 2 days per week in the office)

  • Salary: £35-50K per annum (Dependent on Experience)

  • Department: Product & Design

  • Contract Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

  • Annual Leave: 28 days annual holiday (including bank holidays) plus an extra day off for your birthday

  • Benefits: Includes company pension, 50% staff discount, and the opportunity to drive change in the sustainable fashion industry
