We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team atBlandford Comptoir, a vibrant restaurant in Marylebone. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences and leading a dynamic kitchen team.

The role will be supported by our Executive Chef.

  • Snapshot

-Salary - £45,000.00 per year, depending on experience, with additional bonus scheme available depending on performance

-Hours per week - 48h per week (full-time) - closed on Sundays and Mondays

-Earliest start time 9am; latest finish time circa 22.30pm

-Popular local French bistro in Marylebone. 40 covers, open Tuesday to Saturday. Suitable for an experienced Sous Chef looking for their first Head Chef role.

  • Duties

- Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered

- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support

- Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety in the kitchen

- Collaborate with management to control costs and maximise profitability

- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance

- Ensure that all Food Safety, Health and Safety and HACCP are observed at all times

  • Skills

- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary arts

- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management

- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry

- Creative flair for menu development and presentation

- Exceptional organisational skills to manage a busy kitchen efficiently
