Business Development Manager in mid-sized international law firm aligned to the firm’s Corporate and Commercial group. London with hybrid working. Salary up to £80,000.

This international mid-sized law firm has significantly expanded its marketing and BD function in recent years under the direction of an innovative BD & Marketing Director. The partners are really bought into BD and very engaged. In this Marketing & Business development manager role you will lead on BD & marketing activities for the Corporate / Commercial group. The group is made up of corporate, employment, antitrust & regulatory, logistics, oil and gas, and real estate. Experience of the Energy sector could be particularly useful The role will also have support from a Senior BD Executive.

The role will involve:

  • Working with the partner to set the BD and marketing strategy for the group. Developing fully integrated international marketing campaigns for the sector and sub-sectors. Working on the sector’s key client accounts; Leading on bids and proposals, playing an advisory role to partners; Market research, gaining a real understanding of the sector and market issue; Working with the PR team on profile raising opportunities; Managing a Senior BD Executive.


You will have really solid marketing and BD experience gained in the legal sector or wider professional services and ideally excellent marketing knowledge of corporate/commercial and/or the energy sector. You will have the gravitas to influence and persuade partners.
