Commercial Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director to lead our sales strategy and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans, managing a high-performing sales team, and expanding our market presence globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS sales and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Identify key markets, customer segments, and channels for growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and support to succeed.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and verticals. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and challenges. Present our solutions effectively, demonstrating how our software can address their specific requirements.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation, qualification, and conversion. Monitor and report on key sales metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Success teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market positioning. Provide feedback to inform product enhancements and marketing campaigns.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that may impact sales strategies. Utilize this knowledge to refine and adapt the sales approach.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with prospective clients, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and aligned with our business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software sales, with at least 3-5 years in a senior sales management role. Experience in software or related fields is highly desirable.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B SaaS environment. Experience in closing high-value deals and managing long sales cycles.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. Experience in building and scaling sales teams is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to drive growth.
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding of processes and familiarity with Microsoft 365 or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
