This is a remote part-time contractor role.


Course Description


The way modern customers experience products and services is ever changing. To maintain a competitive advantage, product development teams require cross-functional leadership that drives the delivery of innovative products and robust portfolios.

As the digital product environment becomes more complex and the demand for product management roles rises, the ability to efficiently manage product teams is quickly becoming both an organizational necessity and a key professional skill set. Leaders looking to drive product-centric business growth must be able to strategically direct an overall product vision with a big-picture perspective. In fact, a fully optimized product manager has the potential to increase an organization's profits by 34.2 percent.

The Product Management Methodologies (Online) program is designed to improve product management leadership among mid- to high-level professionals. This immersive learning experience will deepen your understanding of the application of strategy throughout the product life cycle. By the end of the program participants will discover how an enduring product vision and an integrated go-to-market strategy come together to form a successful product roadmap that drives business growth.


Responsibilities of the Program Leader include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to group and individual questions about program content and assignments.
  • Conduct interactive webinars to stimulate student learning.
  • Provide assignment feedback on a select number of assignments in the program.
  • Monitor student discussions and respond to learner questions within 24 hours, share relevant articles/materials when necessary; as well encourage learner participation.
  • Monitor and analyze weekly feedback data.
  • Reach out and support learners who are rating the week poorly (1,2 out of 5) propose action items to improve learner experience.
  • Collaborate with the Emeritus team to solve unexpected program challenges.
  • Post announcements on the learning platform as needed. Announcements will include the following: encouraging learners to complete activities, reminders and sharing relevant program information.
  • Suggest improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively in videos, assignments and collateral materials.


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of extensive work experience in marketing, digital transformation, product management or any other related field.
  • A degree or MBA from Columbia Business School (preferred)
  • Proven experience in the field of product management.
  • Solid Knowledge recognizing the importance of product–market fit.
  • Experience prioritizing the creation of a minimum viable product and avoid common pitfalls.
  • Experience integrating go-to-market strategy with product strategy.
  • Experience constructing a product roadmap.
  • Experience creating effective product communication strategies throughout an organization.
  • Experience facilitating and teaching preferably in an online environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
