Job Description:


We are seeking a strategic Head of Communications to join our client's team in London.


Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you would be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong PR, crisis management, and media relations experience, as well as the ability to manage internal and external communications effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


The Head of Communications will develop and implement a global strategic communications plan that enhances the firm's reputation across multiple regions. This involves overseeing all aspects of external communications, including media relations and public relations, to develop talking points, Q&As, reactive messaging, and press releases. The role includes leading the creation and dissemination of key messages and other communication materials to ensure consistency and alignment with the firm's brand. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media contacts and industry influencers to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation is crucial.


The Head of Communications will also manage internal communications to ensure clear, consistent, and effective messaging across the organization. Collaborating with senior leadership to develop thought leadership content and position the firm's executives as industry experts is an essential part of the role.


Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred.


A minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, with at least five years within the financial services or asset management industry, is required.


You should have a proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies, with a strong emphasis on PR, crisis management, and strategic communications. Strong media relations skills and a robust network of media contacts within the financial services industry are essential.
