Junior Manufacturing Technician – Oxfordshire - Up To £40,000


Our client is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Technician to be part of their team. You will have the opportunity to undertake extensive training that ensures our products meet internal and external requirements for performance and reliability. The Junior Manufacturing Technician will be part of a team that has pioneered an advanced atomic precision 3D metrology technology that has been qualified by leading companies in the semiconductor industry and is crucial for consecutive progress.


As A Junior Manufacturing Technician, Your Role Will Include:

  • Building and testing complex sub-assemblies and assembling the tools to the necessary standard using build and Test documents
  • Assembly of cable assemblies to IPC standards
  • Ability to Solder to IPC Standards
  • Assist the manufacturing team in maintaining and improving processes and manufacturing quality
  • Support the Manufacturing Manager in delivering on-time products to the customer.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the production and cleanroom areas


Experience For This Junior Manufacturing Technician Role:

  • Experience in building and testing complex high-technology products
  • Experience in wiring/soldering to IPC standards
  • Able to travel if required
  • Excellent communication skills – fluency in written and oral technical English
  • Experience in report writing


Other Experience As A Junior Manufacturing Technician:

  • Experience working with engineering development and release into a product (e.g. Product Life Cycle).
  • Experience in manufacturing within the Semiconductor field would be a major advantage
  • Experience in building and testing any or all optical systems including lasers, fibres, electronics, and electro-mechanics would be an advantage
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
