Mechanical Draftsperson / SolidWorks CAD Technician – Cambridge / Essex borders - £35-45K + Benefits.


HND / Degree qualified Mechanical Draftsperson with extensive SolidWorks CAD skills and the ability to generate detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of engineering designs will contribute to a range of designs from full radar system assemblies to smaller precision-engineered electrical modules.


Of particular interest is experience relating to electronic / electrical products and systems.

The successful Mechanical Draftsperson / SolidWorks CAD Technician will create high-quality, detailed technical drawings using CAD tools; producing product drawings suitable for use in manufacture.


Key Skills and knowledge should include:


  • Minimum of HND/HNC or a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • Proven 3D CAD skills using SolidWorks.
  • 2D drawing skills.
  • Experience with mechanical aspects of the design of advanced electronic products.
  • Knowledge of other modelling tools such as Creo would be beneficial.
  • Strong team player with clear communication skills.
