What are we looking for:

You will need to be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.

To assist with the responsibility for the day to day running of the main bars and any popup bars within the overall policies and controls established by the company and Food & Beverage Manager, ensuring that the brand values and standards are delivered and profitably achieved. Responsibilities

Customer Focus:

1. To implement the consistent delivery of superior customer service.

2. To ensure that the department creates a professional impression to customers and team members.

3. To ensure customers are served in accordance with company procedures and standards.

4. To act on customer feedback relevant to your areas of responsibility. This to include customer complaints and compliments.

Be Business Aware:

5. To be aware of budgeted and actual departmental targets. This to include sales, covers, gross profits (liquor), stocks, average spends and departmental profits.

6. To produce and update business forecasts for your department when required.

7. To control and monitor payroll costs by ensuring rotas are compiled in line with forecasted and actual business levels, using company productivity ratios and payroll management.

8. To be aware of and assist with the control of departmental operating costs in line with forecasted business levels.

9. To be aware of purchasing procedures in department via use of Beacon.

10. To maximise opportunities for departmental sales and profit and other related targets.

Special Job Accountabilities

11. To implement effective stock rotation and maintain stock levels in accordance with hotel business, ensuring all products are displayed according to hotel and company policy.

12. To assist with liquor stock-takes where required.

13. To follow procedures for food and drink service controls at all times.

14. To assist with maintaining and improving departmental operating standards.

Growing the Business:

15. To positively approach sales opportunities in order to maximise sales revenue and exceed budgeted sales targets for the department.

16. To assist with and suggest new promotional opportunities to enable departmental sales to meet and exceed budget. This to include the planning, implementation and review of promotions.

17. To keep all department team members sales focused.

People Management:

18. To lead and motivate the department team to promote good employee morale and ensure a high level of commitment and pride in the Hotel.

19. To maintain effective communication within your team by holding regular briefing sessions and attending hotel meetings when required.

20. To carry out planned training and development in a systematic and professional way in order to meet the needs of the business and assist in individual team members personal development.

21. To assist with the compilation of the restaurant training plan to meet the Hotel business objectives and develop team members.

22. To assist with carrying out performance reviews for team members every six months following company guidelines where required.

23. To assist with the setting of objectives for Departmental team members linked with the Hotels business plan.

24. To assist with the recruitment of new Departmental team members up to supervisory level following the Company Recruitment procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Previous management experience

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
