Your new company
Hays are proud to be working in partnership with an established organisation based in Rosyth who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant/ Financial Controller.
This is a very interesting and autonomous role for an organisation operating in a growing field, therefore there is potential for the role to grow.

Your new role
In this role you will manage the daily accounting operations and reporting tasks, collaborate with business partners, ensure robust internal controls, conduct analysis, and maintain statutory compliance.

Your key duties will include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Handle accruals, prepayments, and journals, including contract revenue and deferred income.
  • Record all receipts and payments, and generate a weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Create a monthly Board report with commentary and variance analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT submissions.
You will also interact with multiple stakeholders in a business partnering capacity.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will be willing to learn and take on great responsibility. You should also be comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders.
A background in construction, engineering or manufacturing would be preferable.
