Job Purpose:

As a Lift Services Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a range of lift equipment and systems across company contracts and projects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and flexibility to handle early starts, late finishes, and occasional overnight stays or weekend work.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Lift Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in the lift sector, with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in both hydraulic and traction lift systems.
  • Driver’s Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office and relevant software systems (Outlook, Teams).
  • Availability: Ideally immediately available or with a short notice period.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out scheduled maintenance visits, emergency callouts, and complex repair work to ensure lifts operate safely and efficiently.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with site staff and the wider workforce to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Work in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines, ensuring adherence to protocols for manual handling, heavy lifting, and working at heights.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers on-site, building strong relationships and ensuring a customer-focused environment.
  • Fault Rectification: Quickly identify and rectify faults using lift manuals and diagrams.
  • Technical Reporting: Maintain high standards in technical reporting and communication, staying updated on the latest standards and directives in lift engineering.
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce company policies and quality, safety, and environmental systems. Conduct training sessions, including toolbox talks, to ensure safety and compliance.
