Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity to join our growing Global Marketing Excellence Team and partner with the Director of Marketing to own our Global Growth and Performance Marketing efforts. You should be a strong results oriented strategic leader and hold compelling analytical capabilities, creative thinking and leadership skills. All to ensure that Travelex can achieve multi-year sustainable growth through a combination of paid and organic marketing efforts.
You will fully own the Global Performance Marketing strategy, analysis and optimisation, on-site content and associated pagination, conversion analysis and improvements.
You should be a passionate advocate for your area of expertise, an experienced practitioner who can partner comfortably with SMEs across the business, diagnosing and setting a compelling and easy to understand global Performance strategy, inspiring colleagues at all levels around it.
You will have the ability to support recovering and fledgling markets, helping them establish brilliant basics, setting them up with a strategic north star, whilst also laying a path to future innovation and stretch for our highest performing markets globally.
Who you are:
- You are a highly experienced Strategic Paid Search / Paid Social / Biddable Media leader.
- You will be the voice and brain driving online customer acquisition for Travelex.
- You will have global leadership responsibilities and also be accountable for UK and Europe (NL, DE, plus road mapped future market launches) performance, across both paid and free channels.
- You will partner closely with the online Product team, local digital marketing teams across the globe (of varying capabilities and skills) and external agency partners to set direction, drive impact, efficiency and global collaboration.
- Your work will cover affiliate, organic, social, paid marketing and beyond.
- You will shape strategy to drive efficient and sustainable growth in customer revenues across our cash and card products operating within allowable unit economics.
- You will have relevant proven experience in a complex multi-market business, preferably within B2C FX, finance or banking businesses, but we are open to all other sectors of experience as long as you can articulate transferability and impact in prior roles.
- We will be especially eager to speak with you if you are able to demonstrate significant growth in a turnaround or start-up / scale up environment.
- You will have a proven record of managing substantial budgets, leading the development of multi-channel consumer growth strategies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years experience in Performance Marketing, applicants must have significant client-side experience to be suitable, but some agency side experience is more than acceptable
- Prior responsibility for managing significant budgets across both paid search and paid social channels, ability to drive performance across channels and proven capability to handle measurement and reporting
- Combination of a creative, data-driven, analytical and technical mindset in order to tie together the various functions that help drive effective customer acquisition for cash and card transactors
- Commercial acumen and highly numerate, coupled with a passion for “the customer” and a relentless drive for results in order to deliver sustained growth in customer acquisition
- Willing to adopt a “test and learn” approach and able, work collaboratively, influence globally and lead cross-functionally with a high level of cultural and emotional intelligence
- Entrepreneurial and visionary with the ability to bring about change.
